B de Biorritmo (LXVIII ou Págs. 167 e 168*)

Soft over the fountain,
Lingering falls the southern moon;

Far over the mountain,

Breaks the day too soon!

In thy dark eyes' splendor,

Where the warmlight loves to dwell,

Weary looks, yet tender,

Speak their fond farewell.

Nita!Juanita!

Ask thy soul if we should part!

Nita!Juanita!

Lean thou on my heart.

"Juanita" is a love song subtitled "A Spanish Ballad". It was first published in 1855 attributed to Mrs. Norton, with music arranged by T.G May. The opening four-bar phrase of the song is taken from Handel's aria "Lascia ch'io pianga" from the opera Rinaldo, although the subsequent melody differs from that of the aria.
